Last updated: September 5, 2026. This policy explains exactly what Random Pokemon Generator does — and does not do — with your information, in plain language. The short version: we collect almost nothing, and everything you generate stays on your own device.
TL;DR
Random Pokemon Generator has no accounts, no registration, no newsletters, and no contact forms. We never ask for your name, email address, age, location, or any other personal detail. You can use every tool on the site — the main Random Pokemon Generator, the Nuzlocke Team Builder, and every other page — completely anonymously.
Roll history, saved teams, and filter preferences are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. That data is never uploaded to us, never synced anywhere, and disappears the moment you clear your browser's site data.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are popular and roughly how many visitors we get. It uses cookies, and you can block it entirely with a browser setting or add-on without breaking anything on the site.
Data minimization
Because there is no sign-up system, there is no account database. We do not store usernames, passwords, email addresses, or profile information of any kind — there is simply nothing to leak, sell, or breach.
Everything you generate is computed locally by JavaScript running in your browser. When you spin the Pokemon Wheel Spinner, build a squad in the Pokemon Team Picker, or judge the dex in Pokemon Smash or Pass, the results are produced on your device and stay there. We have no server-side database of user activity.
The site has no checkout, no advertising network, no affiliate tracking pixels, and no social media trackers. There is nothing to monetize your behavior with, and no third-party ad company ever sees your visit.
On your device only
Several tools remember your recent activity so you can pick up where you left off. The Random Pokemon Generator keeps your last 20 rolls in its Roll History; the Nuzlocke Team Builder stores rolled squads with replay links; the Random Shiny Pokemon Generator and Random Mega Pokemon Generator keep their own roll histories; the Pokemon Team Picker remembers your squad; the Random Pokemon Name Generator keeps nickname preferences; and Who's That Pokemon stores game progress and scores.
All of this uses your browser's localStorage, a storage area that lives entirely on your device. The data is never transmitted to our servers, never backed up anywhere, and never accessible to us. Share links encode your squad in the URL itself — opening one just lets the recipient's browser reproduce the same roll locally. Reference pages like Pokemon Shiny Odds and the Pokemon Nature Chart store nothing at all beyond the same pattern of optional local preferences.
Clear your browser's site data or local storage for this domain and everything is gone permanently. In most browsers: Settings → Privacy → Site settings → View permissions and data stored across sites, then delete this site's entry. Most tools also include their own Clear History button inside the history panel.
Anonymous statistics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure aggregate, anonymous usage: page views, approximate geographic region (country/city level), device and browser type, and how visitors move between pages. GA4 sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish returning visitors from new ones. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with any other dataset.
Google acts as the data processor for this analytics data, under its own privacy terms. You can read Google's policy at policies.google.com/privacy. We do not enable advertising features, remarketing, or personalized ads in our GA4 configuration.
You can block analytics in any of three ways: disable or block cookies for this site in your browser settings; install Google's official Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on; or use any content blocker that filters Google Analytics. Every tool on this site works identically with analytics fully blocked.
Infrastructure
Pokemon species data and official artwork are loaded from PokeAPI and its image CDN. When your browser requests a sprite or dataset, those servers see a standard resource request (your IP address and browser user agent), the same as loading any image on the web. We send them no personal information about you.
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's edge network processes standard server logs — IP address, requested URL, timestamp, and user agent — to deliver pages and protect against abuse. These logs are retained according to Vercel's own policies.
The homepage footer displays small "Featured On" badges loaded from third-party directory sites (such as DANG!, SaaS Roots, and similar directories). Loading those badge images tells those servers that a page on our site was viewed. Outbound links to external sites are governed by those sites' own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
You are in control
Because your roll data lives only in your browser, you hold the only copy. Clear the site's local storage and it is permanently erased — there is no server-side copy for you to request deletion of, and no account to close.
Block this site's cookies, install Google's opt-out add-on, or run a content blocker. Nothing on the site requires cookies to function; every generator, game, and calculator works with storage and analytics fully disabled (history features simply will not persist between visits if storage is blocked).
The site itself performs no cross-site tracking, so there is nothing for us to stop. Google Analytics does not respond to the Do Not Track signal by default; use the opt-out methods above if you prefer not to be counted.
The fine print
The site is a general-audience fan tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since there are no accounts or forms, no personal information is gathered from any visitor regardless of age.
If we change how the site handles data — for example by adding a new analytics or hosting provider — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be summarized in the page's commit history on our public repository.
